The Buffalo River Review was founded in 1976 and has been in continuous weekly publication since April of that year. Dr. Randy Mackin has been editor of the Review since 1982.Over the years the Review has received more than forty journalism honors, including five Meeman Foundation Awards for editorials. The most recent in 2007 and another Meeman for advertising. The Review won a National Newspaper Association award in 1996 for editorials.
